Red Bull BC One is the most epic one-on-one B-Boy and B-Girl competition, worldwide.
Each year, dancers from across all around the world compete for a chance to represent at the World Final.
Sixteen B-Boys and sixteen B-Girls make the cut to enter into an all-out challenge on the Red Bull BC One stage.
But as these things go… there can be only one champion.
Red Bull BC One Taking Place In Dubai
This Friday, B-Boys and B-Girls from across the region will get to compete in Dubai, with the winner getting the opportunity to represent the region in India and claim one of the final remaining places in the top 16.
Workshops will be hosted at the Promenade Terrace at Dubai Marina Mall from 1pm followed by the qualifier. This is open to anyone who registers.
What Is B-Boying/B-Girling?
B-Boying and B-Girling, is probably better known as breakdance however it is a style of dance that originated on the streets of NYC in the late 1970s.
It’s one of the four pillars of the Hip Hop culture which is also made up of DJing, MCing and Graffiti Art.
The dance has grown into quite a rich and vibrant scene and it continues to stretch across every corner of the globe. Every year, top dancers and crews continue to push the limits of breaking, evolving it into an art form unlike any other.
The BC One After Party
After the event things move over to the hip-hop scene on the Yacht Club deck of the QE2 for the after party which will celebrate Red Bull Music Presents 10 years of The Recipe.
There will be a number of their friends joining including PAVAN (Foreign Beggars), Moh Flow, Freek and Arbi.
The doors will open at 9pm for this free event.
