Live Nation and WASLA are teaming up yet again to gather leading Arabic alternative artists together in Dubai on 1 March 2019 at Burj Park. The venue is set for the ultimate live WASLA Arabic Alternative music showcase. It boasts a thrilling lineup, featuring Mashrou’ Leila, Ayloul, Massar Egbari, 47Soul, along with other acts to be revealed soon and six local artists from the UAE.
Fresh Announcement of This Year’s Line-Up
The exciting announcement for the line-up of the Arabic Alternative Music Festival was made at the WASLA Hip Hop Session. The March 1st festival will mark the third year in a row for WASLA. The festival regularly brings the best alternative Arabic talent from the region’s budding multi-genre music scene to Dubai. And with Live Nation on board, the event promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Mashrou’ Leila Rocks Us
Eager festival-goers can look forward to the punch of stadium rock with Lebanon’s Mashrou’ Leila. Their distinct approach to storytelling and orchestration comes alive through melancholic ballads and raucous anthems. Moreover, Mashrou’ Leila graces the WASLA stage for the second time in three years. Furthermore, the band have reserved the GCC launch of their newest album for the festival. Therefore, WASLA-goers get an exclusive first listen on March 1, 2019.
Massar Egbari with the Winning Combination
Also launching their new album on the WASLA stage, Egyptian rock heroes, Massar Egbari will feature in the prominently in the line-up. Their style is multi-award winning and globetrotting. This 4-piece’s combination of raw live energy and powerful satirical lyrics will have everyone rocking out and singing along. They promise to feature both their classics and new music.
47SOUL Sweeps Us Away
Joining them will be 47SOUL. They feature a high-energy set list that combines Debka and traditional Palestinian street music with deep electronic beats. The style mixes flawlessly with sounds of the Middle East. Fans will be introduced to a hard-hitting live performance from the 5-piece. They feature the exciting new music genre Shamstep to really get the adrenaline pumping.
Ayloul for the Finale
Finally, renowned Jordanian independent band, Ayloul will unleash their unique brand of Arab-rooted, cinematically infused, oriental music. Their style blends with indie rock that epitomises the emotional and dramatic power of the East.
