Getting buried or cremated is so last season!

These days, there are more creative ways to turn your corpse into something a bit more extravagant.

For music lovers like us, theres a company called And Vinyly that can turn your ashes into a playable vinyl record.

With a catch line like “Live on from beyond the groove”, we will literally be hearing the deceased spinning in their grave.

The company based in the UK was founded back in 2009, when Jason Leach launched it “just for fun”. Seems like many people loved the idea and the business has grown.

Having Your Ashes Turned Into a Playable Vinyl Record Is Not Cheap

But it doesn’t come cheap.

For 30 copies of the record, it will set your deceased estate back $4000

Plus you cannot use copyright-protected music to fill up the 12 minutes per side.

You can however put on anything else like nature sounds, a voice recording or maybe something you produced yourself!

You can also hire musicians via the company to record a track or tracks for you – but that’s an extra cost!

We really do think that the service is able to provide comfort for those left behind. The above video, “Hearing Madge” is a short doc about a son who took recordings of his Mom and used And Vinyly to make a record out of them.

It’s really sweet actually.
