The DJ Awards 2019 took place on Monday 16th September at Heart Ibiza.

It was the 22nd edition of the awards had high emotions in the international electronic music scene. It was also an opportunity to honour up-and-coming talent and legends.

This year the event had an important theme to support No More Plastic. Working together with the awards Eco Partner Oceanic Global, to help create awareness to the industry, whilst building on Ibiza’s commitment to eco-conscious change.

Winners Announced

The awards night offered a chance for peers to mingle and reflect on the summer in the electronic music world.

Graham Sahara co-hosted together with Jaguar.

The duo presented 24 awards, which recognized those who left an impression on the electronic music industry over the past year.

Some of the biggest names in dance music, as well as exciting newcomers and tastemakers, were announced as winners!

DJ Awards 2019

Here are some of the winners:

Carl Cox took home Best International DJ supported by K-array Audio Solutions.

Butch took the new Deep Tech Category award while Da Capo from South Africa walked away with the Afro House award.

Stephan Bodzin picked up the award for Best Electronic Live Performer for the second year in a row and Aly & Fila took an award home for Trance.

Charlotte de Witte received the Techno award which made this the first time a female has won this.

Maya Jane Coles won the Deep House award while ONYVAA became the third female winner, for Best Newcomer.

ARTBAT collected the Breakthrough award in association with Beatport.
