DUBAI’S REVERED TECHNO INSTITUTION, Analog Room has kicked off its new clubbing season every Thursday night with a string of red-hot headline DJs and shifted to a new venue – Dubai’s true homegrown club Stereo Arcade.
The move to Stereo Arcade will see Analog Room provide two rooms of music on Thursday nights, and having booked DJ Nobu to headline their season-opening party is a statement of intent for the season ahead. “Stereo Arcade was always meant to evolve and change over time, hence the two rooms right from the start,” says Founder Samer Hamadeh, “and getting Analog Room in on Thursday nights is going to give us a fresh new sound & we love working with passionate people who put music first.”
“Now that we have two rooms to play with, we’ve programmed the season with the best that the world and our city has to offer,” said Mehdi. Last season, the club focused on showcasing the best UAE-based DJs. “Many people thought that we showcased locals because we were having a tough season and didn’t want to spend money on international DJs,” said Mehdi, who also DJs as Shemroon. “That’s completely false. We started Analog Room with the vision of developing the city’s clubbing culture and inspire the local artists. After 6 years it was time for the city to talk back. We dedicated the channel to the local artists. Analog Room is an institution and as well as bringing the best international DJs to town, we’re here to act as a springboard to help local talent launch international careers. As a result of that we’re proud to have new residents join the Analog Room family this season. ”
