The news is out – Soundcloud will now distribute your music to Spotify, Apple Music and more…. for free
The new feature will see your music distributed to all major streaming platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon Music.
The service is currently being trialed with SoundCloud Premier users, and the distribution comes at no additional cost on top of the usual Pro and Pro Unlimited monthly fee.
Souncloud has a new feature
SoundCloud have also announced that users will keep 100% of royalties generated via this new service. This is above the monetisation they already announced on their own platform last year.
Kerry Trainor, Chief Executive Officer, SoundCloud says:
Only SoundCloud empowers creators with a unified platform to instantly upload and share, connect with fans in real-time and get paid for their work everywhere–both on SoundCloud and across other leading music services,”
In order to qualify for this new service, users need to:
- have a Pro or Pro Unlimited SoundCloud account
- own all applicable rights to the music
- be over the age of 18
- have no copyright strikes against their account
- at least 1,000 plays on your account from the past month “from countries where SoundCloud listener subscriptions and advertising are available”
This new service once again raises the value of music in the everchanging digital world.
