Versace have paid tribute to The Prodigy’s Keith Flint in a very unique way at Milan Fashion Week.
The Versace menswear SS20 collection is inspired by the late frontman. Donatella Versace described the musician, who died in March this year, as “my friend, and a disruptor of this world”.
The collection featured models with dyed neon hair styled in leopard print, denim and leather.
The show opened with ‘Firestarter’ pounding while models showcasing Flint’s distinctive double mohawk and tinted bug-eye sunglasses.
It’s not the first time that The Prodigy have been associated with Versace. The band in fact performed at their menswear fashion shows back in 2004.
Flint and Versace’s friendship may have come as a surprise to some, but they did seem to be a good match with Versace being quite the disruptor herself.
Donatella picked up the responsibility of the family business her brother, Gianni, established in the 70’s.
From the very first day, she embraced full-blown sex appeal in her collections and has become known for not doing things quietly.
In 2018, she announced that she sold her family company to Capri Holdings – previously known as Michael Kors Holdings, to the surprise of many.
