There’s a new Beastie Boys documentary that is set to be released this year.
Award-winning filmmaker, Spike Jonze, who has a long-standing relationship with the group, has directed the new documentary called Beastie Boys Story.
New Documentary Releases In April
The film, which is due to release on the 3rd April in a number of IMAX cinemas. This date marks the 26th anniversary of the groups’ 1994 album titled ‘Ill Communication’.
The documentary centers around surviving group members Michael “Mike D” Diamond and Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz.
Apple TV+ users will also be able to rent and purchase the film from the 24th of April.
A Sneak Peak Of The Film
Beastie Boys Story will focus on the release of Jonze’s first photography book, Beastie Boys, which will be available on the 17th March.
It features hundreds of photos taken by Jonze throughout the group’s journey.
