Singer and songwriter, Layla Kardan announced last week the release of her new music video ‘Goddess’ in collaboration with Maserati and Al Tayer Motors.
The sensual yet hard-hitting song can be felt through the bass. The song serves as a reminder to women of all types, that they are goddesses and should be celebrated. “Goddess is you” serenades Layla with the powerful lyrics of the song empowering women to “walk tall, walk honest” in their personal power, path and with presence. Layla Kardan shines a light on vulnerabilities inspired by the great poet Rumi’s quote, “The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”
Strongly Empowering Inspiration
The video was directed by Amirah Tajdin and produced by Wafa Tajdin, the sister duo who were behind Layla’s “As One” music video. Bejeweled by Bulgari and designer clad, the video was styled by Vasil Bozhilov.
The music video is now available ahead of her album “Saved” set to be released later this month available on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify and Anghami.
Joining forces with Maserati
Maserati and Ermenegildo Zegna had previously recognized Layla Kardan as ‘One of 100’ artists internationally in 2015 and returns to supports the artist on her creative journey yet again.
The artist is seen driving the classic and bold Maserati Ghibli 1967, a powerful message resonating the celebration of a lifted ban on women driving in Saudi Arabia this year. Adorned with pearls, Layla embodies a passion to empower. The classic yellow car was selected to represent the enlightenment and the “golden journey” following the artist’s debut album’s theme of the Japanese art form, Kintsugi.
“Joining forces with Layla was for us an approach that meant to encourage talents and initiatives in local and global communities and to engage in meaningful messages and conversations. We would like to celebrate womanhood and actively, proactively, encourage, endorse and support talent; and initiatives that are locally engaged to create a meaningful message that contributes to a healthier society.” – Ghita Mejdi, Communications Director at Maserati Middle East and Africa.
