The Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival presented by Mastercard will be back for its 18th edition next year and it looks like it’s going to be another huge weekend with world-class live music.
The first artist announcement has come in and it’s been confirmed that Lauryn Hill will be headlining the festival.
The Dubai Jazz Festival
The festival has a history of bringing big music names from around the world and it’s not just your typical “jazz” as the name suggests.
For example, at the last festival, we saw rock sensation, Duran Duran, the legendary Jamiroquai, as well as the Grammy Award-winning singer Alicia Keys, take to the stage in Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.
These acts were supported by other amazing global and local artists.
Lauryn Hill Headlining The Dubai Jazz Festival 2020
So now the focus is on the 2020 edition of the festival and as former Fugee, Lauryn Hill is to headline the Dubai Jazz Festival. The star who is currently on tour for her 20th Anniversary of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, will be performing live at the Festival on Wednesday 26th February.
Of course, we are hoping to hear some hits from the Fugees days like “Killing Me Softly”.
Hill will be opening proceedings at the festival, with support from the British jazz and soul singer/songwriter Bruno Major.
Over the next few days, there will be some more acts announced and as a result, we are keeping our eyes and ears open for updates!
Once all the acts have been revealed this Wednesday 6th November, tickets will be available on dubaijazzfest.com.
