Legendary British jazz-funk group, Jamiroquai, is set to play at this year’s Emirates Airlines Dubai Jazz Festival as act number 2 alongside rock band Snow Patrol.
Rising to Fame is Virtually Insane!
The band made the announcement this morning and it’s already creating a buzz. Best known for their 1996 hit Virtual Insanity, the band originally began performing acid-jazz. Throughout their career, we’ve heard them play many genres including pop, rock, disco and electronica. However, their 90s classics are, to this day, the most crowd pleasing.
Fans Can’t Wait to See Jamiroquai Back in Action.
In January of 2017, the band released their first studio album, Automaton, in seven years to amazing fan fare. The online teaser received over 5 million views. Additionally, the band scheduled two shows to perform the album in Paris and London, both of which sold out in less than a minute. It’s safe to say the band is making a strong comeback with singles like the album title Automaton, Cloud 9 and Shake It On.
Where Can We Catch The Performance?
This year’s Jazz festival is scheduled for Wednesday 20 February to Friday 22 February. Snow Patrol is scheduled to perform on Wednesday 20 February as headliner. Jamiroquai is the main act on Thursday 21 February 2019. This will be the 17th annual jazz festival hosted by Emirates Airline. It will be held at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. Dubai jazz fans are in for a treat.
