Fyre Festival seems like history now but there’s just some moments from the documentary that we’ll never forget….
Probably one of the most memorable people out of it all is the man who famously prepared himself to ‘do whatever it takes’ so the controversial luxury party could import enough water – Andy King.
King has very big plans ahead, with a speaking tour around the UK.
Andy King Speaking Tour
King will appear in various cities including Newcastle, Glasgow, London, Sheffield, Edinburgh and Birmingham.
The tour which will have ten shows, titled as ‘A Fyre Side Chat’, will see him share anecdotes and memories from the unsuccessful event.
Each show will last for around 60-minutes, followed by a 30-minute Q&A.
The Greatest Party That Never Happened
King was certainly one of the most memorable characters in the unforgiving Netflix documentary, ‘Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened’.
After being responsible for previous high profile, A-list soirees in New York City, King was chosen by organisers of the ruined Caribbean festival.
It’s been dubbed the major music disaster of all time, after attendees were left stranded and out of pocket. Local staff, contractors and suppliers were left unpaid while Billy McFarland, the mastermind of the catastrophe, hinted at plans for another festival last year. He also revealing a curiosity in publishing his memoirs…imagine that!
Rapper, Ja Rule was also involved in organizing the event which never happened and has had to deal with an enormous amount of backlash since.
