Discogs recently shared the 100 most expensive items purchased in the US via its online marketplace, ever since it launched back in 2005.
The amounts vary quite significantly – ranging from $2,247 to $15,000.
Some of the big names featured in the US reveal include The Velvet Underground, Led Zeppelin and Nirvana.
Some records make multiple appearances on the list for each sale and Prince features a number of times on the list. Topping the list with ‘The Black Album’ aka ‘The Funk Bible’, his albums sold for $15,000 in 2016.

In its list, Discogs even included a link to each release where you can find release notes which “will help shed light on their worth and collectibility“.
Last year alone, Discogs sold almost 11 million records.
