New Years eve in Dubai without fireworks at the Burj Khalifa is like Christmas in Europe without a Christmas tree – it just doesn’t feel right! Well, we are happy to confirm that after their 1 year hiatus the world record breaking fireworks are set to return to Dubai’s Burj Khalifa this December!
Dubai master developer Emaar has confirmed that they are bringing the spectacular firework display back to the world’s tallest tower this New Year.
“Emaar is gearing up for yet another spectacular New Year’s Eve celebration that will feature several amazing new elements in addition to spectacular fireworks, returning this year by popular demand,” Emaar
Last year, on the final night of 2017, hundreds of thousands of visitors witnessed a less traditional celebration, when Emaar instead opted for for a lights show instead of the traditional fireworks display. However, after mixed reactions, with some citing that it could drastically affect tourism it seems Emaar have decided to move back to the more traditional show which is currently being planned and coordinated by a team of world-class experts.
The firework display will once again be broadcast live on televisions around the globe, special viewing platforms will be constructed and the show will be beamed on big screens across downtown dubai.
