1. “OUT OF THE BOX” – TECH TALK

One of the smallest pieces of equipment in The Boxtones inventory is this Shure GLXD16 Guitar Pedal Wireless System that fits in the palm of your hand…literally! First Gary the guitarist picked up this pedal, then following an amazing referral about how good it was, keyboardist Will and bassist Jean picked up a pair as well. And guess what? All 3 can’t imagine performing ANY gigs without them!

One of the best investments we’ve made to date as the boys love to run about the stage like buffoons! This item is available for purchase at Melody House and NMK Electronics. For more information such as its incredible signal range and extra long lasting battery life, click here.

2. “MUSIC BOX” – NEW MUSIC TO CHECK OUT

When was the last time you visited the music section at Virgin Megastore? We make a point to periodically check to see what new music is on the shelves and honestly, we’re loving the material that’s coming out from home grown talent in the UAE! Not only can you still get your copy of The Boxtones original album ‘Home’, but you MUST take a listen to Chronicles of Khan’s “Legacies and Bequests“ and Private Government’s “Come and Take“!

Proud to call both of these acts our friends and fellow members of Dubai’s music family – ROCK ON BROS!

Was wondering how long we were going to wait for a biopic on the life of Sir Elton John…and now it’s nearly here! Starring Taron Egerton (known for his role as Eggsy in the Kingsman franchise), we are getting treated to an entertaining story of Elton John’s formative years – notably when the development of a successful partnership with lyricist Bernie Taupin!

Fun fact: Kingsman: The Golden Circle features a pretty cool cameo with the pop/rock legend himself, so naturally, both stars became close friends following the film. And guess what else? That’s Taron’s voice you hear singing in the trailer! Excited for the May 31st theatre release!
