While it seems like new year’s eve was just behind us, February is right around the corner. We don’t want you to miss these artists next month. So, while we’re still getting used to writing 2019, let’s make sure we check out these performances. 

Kaynouna

Where: The Secret Garden, Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, Gharhoud

When: Friday, 1 February, 4pm-3am

About: Among the artists, MoM, Safi, Rabih Rizk and Emad Ayash, both Viken Arman and DAWA will be performing live. With all the beautiful and magical vibes Kaynouna brings, this one will surely please. The Art of Chilling continues. 

Jake Bugg

Where: Dubai Opera, Downtown

When: Thursday, 7 February, 8pm

About: The “Two Fingers” singer best known for his indie folk and soulful melodies will perform at the grand Dubai Opera. Audiences can look forward to hits like “Seen It All,” “Broken” and “A Song About Love.” He also plans to perform singles from his latest album Hearts That Strain. The artist comes along with a whole host of amazing offerings at Dubai Opera this season. 

Underworld at Groove on the Grass

Where: Emirates Golf Club

When: Friday, 8 February, 6pm-3am

About: Unerworld, the funk-rock-synth band formed nearly 40 years ago. With the critically acclaimed “Born Slippy” featured on the Trainspotting soundtrack, the band have formed epic collaborations over their long career. Groove on the Grass kicks off the New Year with the biggest show they have ever brought to the region! Underworld LIVE graces the stage complete with full band on 8 February. 

Jess Glynne

Where: RedFestDXB, Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, Dubai Media City,

When: Thursday, 14 February and Friday, 15 February

About: Brit popstar Jess Glynne will open RedFestDXB this year. The London-born star has had two number one albums and a string of hits over the last few years, and last performed in Dubai in 2016. Catch her at the Media City Amphitheatre on 14 or 15 February. Grab your tickets at the RedFest website

G-Eazy

Where: RedFestDXB, Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, Dubai Media City,

When: Thursday, 14 February and Friday, 15 February

About: American rapper G-Eazy will also be performing on the opening night of RedFestDXB. It’s also not the first time G-Eazy has hit the stage in Dubai. He performed at Base and Cavalli in 2018, but we can’t wait to catch him at the Media City Amphitheatre on 14 or 15 February. Tickets are on sale at the RedFest website.

Camila Cabello

Where: RedFestDXB, Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, Dubai Media City,

When: Friday, 15 February

About: Another international sensation to watch at RedFest is Camila Cabello. The Cuban-American singer Camilla Cabello performs on Friday, 15 February. Rising to stardom with girl group Fifth Harmony, Camilla Cabello released her debut solo album in January 2018. Along with lead single Havana, they topped the charts across the globe. Macklemore

Where: RedFestDXB, Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, Dubai Media City,

When: Friday, 15 February

About: Last, but certainly not least, international sensation Macklemore performs at Redfest DXB. The American rapper graces the stage on Friday as the premiere headliner. The “Thrist Shop” rapper was last in the UAE back in 2014, performing at Abu Dhabi’s du Arena with music partner Ryan Lewis. He has also recorded a single with fellow headliner, Jess Glynne. 

Snow Patrol

Where: Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival, Media City Amphitheatre

When: Wednesday, 20 February

About: This year’s Jazz Festival is really set to wow audiences with some amazing artists like Irish rock bank Snow Patrol. The festival goes from 20-22 February with Snow Patrol opening the scene on Wednesday. It will be the band’s first appearance in UAE since their 2012 performance at Sandance on the Palm. 

Jamiroquai

Where: Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival, Media City Amphitheatre

When: Thursday, 21 February

About: On Thursday night, the British jazz-funk group headlines for the first time in UAE since 2013. Best known for their 1996 hit “Virtual Insanity,” the band originally began performing acid-jazz. With an extensive career and pioneering sound, you won’t want to miss this live performance. 

Alicia Keys

Where: Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival, Media City Amphitheatre

When: Friday, 22 February

About: The final headliner for this year’s Jazz Festival is none other than the modern legend of R&B, Alicia Keys. With a decade and a half of soul drenched musical career behind her, the young artist never ceases to wow. Grab your tickets on the Jazz Festival website
