OK, so revolution is a strong word, but there have been a few interesting developments on the radio front of late.
Rock Radio has launched out of Fujairah on 90.7FM and has an impressive playlist of old, new and classic rock with everything from Fleetwood Mac to the Stone Roses on offer. Keeping it alternative, Deep Radio has launched online (facebook.com/theDEEPradio). Part of the ARN network that looks after Dubai 92 and Virgin amongst others, it's motto is 'You Never Know What You'll Hear Next' and having tuned in to hear Talking Heads, Phil Collins and U2 in the same half hour session, we have to agree. And finally, Channel 4 (104.8FM) has launched The Flow every Friday from 7pm, with Cliff T and Neil T dropping 3 hours of fresh urban flavours. |
