While we might get more excited about the Dubai DJ debuts and first times, Dubai's music scene has flourished so much that there's now a healthy balance of the old and the new. And on Thursday November 24, retro-music lover will have to choose between the classic soft rock of Michael Bolton (thankfully he's lost his straggly mullet these days) and the soft electro-pop of Sophie Ellis Bextor (her of Groovejet acclaim). Bolton plays at the Madinat Arena, while Sophie plays live at Burj Park in Downtown Dubai.
