It's probably the biggest music scene in Dubai, and with DJs and artists like Dany Neville and The Recipe, the city can boast of some pretty impressive talent. Two other artists have released music this month, at polar opposites of the hip hop spectrum. First up is DJ Solo who's committed to releasing one new track a month, with his latest the politically inspired 'Twilight Empires' featuring his ex Diligent Thought partner in crime Jibberish on MC duties. A scuzzy, analogue-friendly mix of 60s hammond organ and Odelay-era Beck beats, it's a strong hip hop track that's been rightfully garnering international support. And on a much more commercial note, DJ Bliss, the Emirati-born DJ has turned his hip hop skills to recording and sings vocals (alongside Saudi born singer Ayzee) on his debut single, 'Everything About You.' With a contemporary electro/RnB melody line and crisp production allayed to booming beats, it should do well on the commercial scene in Dubai, and is out now via his Soundcloud page.
