How old will the club be?

I actually can't remember if it was 2004 or 5! I wasn't in Dubai then, I came on board in 2007.

And how have you seen the venue - and with it, the city's club scene - change since its opening?

The club scene has changed dramatically over the last 3 years especially with so many new clubs and bars on the scene has made the market very competitive.

What's been the biggest challenge since the re-opening after the club was shut for a long time?

When Trilogy was first opened for the first few years, it had a bit of a monopoly in the club scene as back then there weren't as many venues around. But now the club scene is saturated with venues and club nights, so when we came back we had to make a mark that Trilogy would be the finest club for international electronic music and stand out music-wise from what everyone else was doing.

There's so many we would like to bring, with the diverse artists we have had the last year they have all gone back telling other artists what a great time they had so now the doors are opening up for more to come. Watch this space!

Do you look at any other clubs in the region or across the world as inspiration (Fabric perhaps)?

We want to position ourselves as the best electronic music club in the region, so we would always take inspiration from the best electronic music clubs in the world and then incorporate our own vision.

If you could change one thing about clublife in Dubai, what would it be?

People's attitudes, to make them come to the club earlier. It has always amazed me that even though all clubs finish at 3am, people still don't go clubbing till late. They should be banging on the doors at 9pm!

And what's planned for the birthday night?

A proper celebration of electronic music with the amazing 2ManyyDJs.
