Pulling together over 20 acts over 4 days in a secluded Lebanese forest at the end of summer, Forestronica is a festival unlike any other. Focussing on alternative dance music, they've curated a Middle East centric line up that includes Subdog's acid-fried breaks and dubstep, the progressive psytrance of Krax and the Goa trance sounds of Grizzzly. And Dubai fans are in for a pleasant surprise as the Globalfunk Soundsystem, comprising founder and DJ Mach 4 and MC Olly Wood, will be performing live over the weekend, from September 8-11. The organisers can supply tents for $13 per person, or you can bring your own, and there will be food and drinks, as well as all toilets, showers, a recreation area and flea market on site to add to the atmosphere. Tickets cost $75 on the door and are available from www.ticketingco.com or log onto www.forestronika.org for more info.
