No.1 Events and its two biggest nights 'No.1 Fridays' & 'Buy 1 drink, Get one free Mondays' have found a new home and are moving venue to Club Sensation at The Crowne Plaza Hotel Sheikh Zayed Rd and are launching our first night Friday 2nd of September right in time for Eid.

Elegante Club has been our home for two and a half years and we believe it's time to take our clubbing brands to a more central location. My very first event in Dubai was at that same venue back in 2008 when it was previously known as Tribe. I think it's human nature to go back to where you started sometimes and Club Sensation is the right venue for No.1 Events at this current time. The layout, capacity and décor fits in with our No.1 vision.

And what will change now you're in a new Sheikh Zayed Road venue?

Hopefully nothing! We have been growing stronger as an events company as time has passed. We have won the Timeout Dubai Nightlife Award for 'Best Urban Night' twice both in 2010 & 2011 and we hope to continue with our success and win the award in 2012 with our new home Club Sensation.

Looking ahead

Not only have No.1 Events got a new venue, they're celebrating in style by bringing over acts for the first month. Here are the highlights...

No.1 Events have always done well on the garage tip, and none better than when this bassline friendly duo headline. Which made it a no-brainer when it came to planning the opening month's acts. Best known for their 1999 hit, 'With A Little Bit Of Luck,' they then went onto record a cover of Stevie Wonder's 'Master Blaster' which again saw them go Top 10. Their recorded output since then has been somewhat sporadic, but did reach an amusing high point in 2008 with the release of 'DJ Luck Just Don't Give A F***.' Quite.

Having already celebrated a decade in the music and DJ industry, Masterstepz is one of the most consistent R&B, hip hop, reggae, garage and funky house DJs around and is a regular guest in New York, Ibiza and Ayai Napa. Impressively, he's the only UK DJ signed to the same artist agency as 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes and LL Cool J and is a regular Dubai visitor so knows the crowd inside out. Oh, and it's his birthday too, so be prepared for a bigger than normal bash centered around the DJ booth.
