Melody House, the music equipment shop on Sheikh Zayed Road, has hosted some novel events since opening, but none more exciting than their Drum Off on Saturday April 30. They're looking for the city's best drummers to compete over 4 minute sets (2 for set up, 2 for playing) with big prizes on offer for the top 3 finishers. Entrants need to upload a video to the Facebook page (search for Melody House Drum Off) and will be judged on performance, originality, technique, style and stage presence. melodyhousemi.com
