The dubstep community were in uproar recently - or rather internet chat rooms had slightly more traffic than normal - as Britney's latest track leaked out. Produced by Rusko who's newly relocated to LA, it's called 'Hold It Against Me' and predictably features saccharine vocals, and nothing lyrics about, well, nothing. But rather less predictably, a violent dubstep wobble stumbles in at the 2 minute mark leading to a rather speaker-abusing 30 seconds of sub-bass. And this is the original that will no doubt become a radio staple, not a remix. The track itself sucks serious donkey balls, but if a Britney Spears' track can direct just one listener onto dubstep, then surely it's got to be a good thing, and the haters can just carry on hating.
