Axwell chatted about the upcoming video for his new single Nothing But Love this week and revealed that he dreamed up its overtly religious theme after imagining Jesus as an elite modern raver (DJ?) caught up partying with the wrong crowd. "He's a normal dude, he has friends, he goes to clubs, but he's, like, Jesus so he's better than everybody," the Swedish House Mafia star said. "He has a bigger picture, there's something special about him. But also the problems that Jesus had, his friends betraying him, and eventually he gets killed and he will get resurrected and goes up to heaven," Axwell explained. His unexpected embrace of Jesus came just as Brett McCracken's published a paper titled 'Hipster Christianity: When Church and Cool Collide' in which he warned that fashion conscious Christians are causing the religion 'an identity crisis unrivaled in the history of the faith.' "Hipsters care only about freedom, partying, and transgression", McCracken complained, "It's hard to deny yourself or take up any cross daily when you're chained to the shackles of hip", he suggested.
