Epic trance pioneer Brian 'BT' Transeau suggested being willing to finish projects is essential for remaining creative, this week, and urged artists of all descriptions to dig out any and all unfinished projects and tackle them straightaway. "The punch line to all of this is it doesn't have to be good," he told web portal blogcritics.org in a lengthy interview, "A part of the process of finishing things is learning, and you can bang through twelve things that have no immediate value, it seems, that you don't necessarily want to share with the world, but the thirteenth thing will be something that you're proud of for the rest of your life," he urged. His assessment chimed with the experiences of notoriously perfectionist producer Sasha who chatting to Infusion revealed he'd improved his notoriously slow production rates by introducing strict studio deadlines. "There's a fine line between perfectionism and being slow and a pain in the ass, and deadlines are something I never previously worked well to though now I think I'm responding to them really well," said Sasha.
