Notoriously dirty French superstar DJ Laurent Garnier chatted about cultural stereotypes to Infusion and admitted he’s frequently furious about his countrymen being typecast as rude. “Fuck off,” he raged when asked about the last time he lost his temper, “Va te faire foutre!” The famously filthy foul-mouthed producer was equally cross about claims posted on US/ French portal UnderstandingFrance.org which says Americans see the French as ‘lazy people who do not work and demonstrate in the streets (when they are not on strike)’. “Demonstrating is a national sport in France, it’s even part of the curriculum at primary school,” Laurent noted, “Without our ‘savoir faire’ of demonstrating, we would have never have had public holidays such as Bastille Day, for example”, he said.
